There were approximately 120 cows and 11 bulls penned for the first export sale of 2017 with the usual buying group present and competing in a dearer market compared to the last sale of 2016. Quality was good in the limited offering with a large proportion of the yarding showing plenty of finish. Cow prices were generally 10c to 20c dearer while the heavy weight bulls gained 10c/kg.
Most light and medium weight cows sold from 200c to 250c/kg. Heavy weight cows made mostly between 216c and 276c/kg. Heavy weight bulls sold between 275c and 293c/kg.
